There are four things to know about the Oregon Public House

The Oregon Public House is:

So Gnomonic – as in the little piece that sticks up off a sundial, the piece that makes a shadow to tell time by, meaning that it’s standing there, the pub is, that much is certain, but judging progress by it (i.e. re-modeling), in the short term, can make it seem like nothing is happening

So oncoming – as in look out, the light at the end of the tunnel may be the Oregon Public House

On icon smog – well, I think that one is self explanatory

Coming soon – We are getting close to opening, but our goal is to get there with no debt.
So we are, in a way, choosing to be a tortoise rather than a hare, re-modeling-wise. Most of the re-modeling that has been completed so far, has been done by volunteers. Contractors have donated their time and expertise. We've had work parties to do massive amounts of demolition, cleanup and painting (as well as designing and building our own bar, booths and tables). I've spent literally hours thinking up anagrams for 'coming soon.' And there has been  incredible turnouts for our open house fundraisers. Thanks to everyone who has spent time cleaning, painting, demolishing or building. Thanks to everyone who has donated toward equipment and materials. And thanks to everyone in the community who has supported the project. We'll see you soon.

Until then remember: I'm on no cogs.
